Experience

Santiago Mena is a Junior Associate in the Corporate and Contractual practices at Cuesta Campos, where he advises domestic and international companies, as well as foreign investors, on the structuring, establishment, and development of their businesses in Mexico. His practice is distinguished by a strategic and preventive approach focused on delivering corporate and contractual solutions that enable clients to operate with legal certainty and efficiency.

He has participated in corporate restructurings, corporate transactions, corporate governance matters, foreign investment projects, and financing and capitalization transactions. His experience also includes the negotiation and structuring of commercial agreements, the preparation of corporate and notarial documentation, and legal risk analysis aimed at preventing potential disputes. In addition, he regularly collaborates with international legal teams, foreign counsel, and local management teams on cross-border corporate and contractual matters.

He has advised clients across a broad range of industries, including technology, manufacturing, maquila, investment funds, and service companies, participating in expansion, business reorganization, and strategic development projects. He also participates in legal due diligence, corporate compliance, and ongoing corporate maintenance, contributing to the implementation of legal structures that support clients’ operations and long-term growth.

Santiago holds a law degree (JD) from Universidad Panamericana and is currently pursuing an LL.M. in Corporate and Economic Law. He has completed postgraduate studies in Obligations and Contracts Law and is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in Commercial Entities Law. In addition, he has complemented his legal education with academic studies in the United States and Europe and has participated as a speaker at conferences on Corporate Law and Contract Law.
