Clean Energies Declaration.

The Energy Reform was created to use energy resources rationally, sustainably and with principles of economic efficiency and social benefit.

One of the objectives of the electricity sector regarding the Energy Reform, is to achieve the goals in clean energy generations and a reduction of emissions. This is why “Energía Limpia” (Clean Energy) was created.

Clean Energy is as energy production system in which no polluting waste is generated on the planet.     According to the Ministry of Energy, 5% of the total energy consumption of the load center of the obligated subjects in 2018, shall correspond to Clean Energy.

In order to meet this goal, it has been determined that there are certain individuals that have to comply with the obligations of the Clean Energy system. These subjects are:

  • Suppliers.
  • Users that are supplied by isolated supply.
  • Holders of Agreements of leased interconnection center with public or private freight center.

It is necessary to point out that May 15th of 2019 will be the deadline for the bound parties to submit their annual Clean Energy declaration according to the corresponding period between January 1st and December 31st of 2018.

Said declarations and corresponding reports will be made through the “DeclaraCEL”, which is a system that allows the obligated individuals to make their obligations settlements electronically, using their electronic signature (FIEL) in substitution of the physical signature.
