07 Dec New Provisions of the Federal Law on Administrative Fees Related to Immigration Matters
On November 14th. the government amended and included new provisions to the Federal Law on Administrative Fees related to administrative applications before the National Immigration Institute (INM, by its acronym in Spanish). As of January 1st, 2023, applicants to the following procedures must pay fees upon:
- Securing or updating the Certificate of Employer’s Registration.
- Filing of visa applications for family units or job offers, which are processed before the INM.
- Filing of ordinary visas in foreign passports.
- Filing for a visitor visa without permission to carry out long-term paid activities.
The payment of government fees will have to be filed when the application is submitted before the INM, said payment does not guarantee the authorization of the requested procedure.
