Today, a Decree was published in the Federal Official Gazette (DOF, for its acronym in Spanish), indicating that the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property will extend the suspension of activities until April 30^th, 2020, to resume activities on May 4^th, 2020.

Furthermore, all deadlines and legal terms will also be extended until April 30^th, 2020 and all the applications, briefs or petitions filed during the above-mentioned period will be considered as filed on May 4^th, 2020.

The above, due to the preventive measures for the mitigation and control of the health risks caused by the COVID-19 virus, ordered by the Mexican Ministry of Health.
