Today, a Decree was published in the Federal Official Gazette (DOF, by its acronym in Spanish), indicating that the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property will extend the suspension of activities until May 30^th, 2020, to resume activities on June 1^st, 2020.

Furthermore, all deadlines and legal terms will also be extended until May 30^th, 2020, and all the applications, briefs or petitions filed during the above-mentioned period will be considered as filed on June 1^st, 2020.

The above, due to the preventive measures for the mitigation and control of the health risks caused by the COVID-19 virus, ordered by the Mexican Ministry of Health.
